Cross-Cultural Nursing Database
In addition to the increase in the number of foreign residents in Japan, the number of foreign arrivals, including short-term travelers, is increasing, and opportunities to care for foreigners in hospitals and communities are increasing. As part of its social contribution program, the Japan Academy of Nursing Science collects information on the culture and society of foreigners staying in Japan and publishes it as a database. Please make use of this database to improve the quality of nursing care for foreigners.

This database contains key data to assist in the care of people from different countries and may not be applicable to all citizens. Different ethnic groups and regions of origin may have different characteristics and behaviors. In addition, because values and behaviors vary from individual to individual even within the same culture, sufficient information should be obtained from individual patients and their families when applying the contents of this database to individual patients.
