The 25th JANS Seminar
Collaboration with Patients and Citizens in Nursing Research: Creating the Future with Patients and Citizens
Click here to download the poster
In the process of medical research and development targeting human health and disease, the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI, PPIE), which aims to improve research and development based on partnerships that transcend the boundaries between the research participants and the research developers, has been promoted in recent years. Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)" and other initiatives are being promoted. Involving patients and the public at all stages of the research and development process contributes to improving the quality of research and patient-public collaboration.
On the other hand, in patient-citizen-medical collaborations, there are issues such as addressing the knowledge gradient between patients/citizens and medical personnel and the difficulty of communication to build equal partnerships, and consideration and ingenuity for patients/citizens are required.
In this seminar, the concepts and processes of PPI, etc. will be explained, and then communication and value creation for patient/citizen/medical collaborations will be presented. Then, a pioneering nursing researcher will introduce a case study.
We hope that this seminar will provide an opportunity for you, patients, and citizens to think about creating value and future through collaboration, and that it will be useful for further collaboration.
