Withdrawal Procedures
Those who wish to withdraw from the Japan Academy of Nursing Science are required to submit a withdrawal form.
If you wish to cancel your membership, please submit your request by either method (1) through (3) by the end of the fiscal year (must arrive no later than March 31) after paying the membership fee for the relevant year. For applications (1) and (2), our office will contact you at a later date to confirm receipt of your withdrawal notice. (The reply will generally take about one week, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, summer vacation, and year-end and New Year's vacations.)
How to Submit Withdrawal Notification
More and more people are making the mistake of coming to the wrong conference.
Please make sure to confirm the name of the society. We do not accept requests to withdraw from other organizations.

Please send us an e-mail with the subject line "Cancellation request" and your name and membership number (5-digit number) in the body of the message.
In order to assist us in future operations, we ask for the main reason for withdrawal from membership.
Please provide one of the main reasons for your withdrawal from the program below. If you choose "Other," please provide the reason for your withdrawal in the body of the e-mail.
We would also appreciate your frank comments and requests to the Society.

If the membership fee for the relevant year has been paid, you can apply for withdrawal from membership on My Page from April to the end of January of the following year. Please note that from February to the end of March, due to system reasons, we are temporarily unable to accept withdrawal requests from members' My Page because the next year's membership fee is being billed. During this period, please contact us using either method (1) or (2) to request withdrawal.
Please do not indicate on the dues payment form that you wish to withdraw from membership. Also, we do not accept membership withdrawals by phone.
Please use the above method to deliver the product.
Note on withdrawal procedure
- If no request for withdrawal is made by the end of the fiscal year, the membership will automatically continue as a member for the following year. Please note that we cannot accept requests for membership withdrawal after the fiscal year has passed.
- In order to prevent misunderstandings regarding the withdrawal procedure, we do not accept phone calls.
In the event of the death of a member
Please fill out the following information and send it to us either by mail or e-mail (any format is acceptable)
- Membership number (5-digit number, but may be omitted if unknown)
- Member Name
- date of death
- Name of the sender, relationship (family member, office staff at employer, etc.) and contact information (address or e-mail address to which the notice of withdrawal should be addressed)
Recording in membership data
Article 15 of the Constitution of the Society provides for disqualification as follows
The membership data will be recorded in the membership category at the time of withdrawal as shown in the table below. The procedure for reapplying for membership differs depending on the classification at the time of withdrawal.
