QWhen is membership forfeited?
A
Membership will be forfeited for any of the following reasons
(1) Withdrawal from membership
If you wish to resign your membership, your membership will be terminated at the end of the fiscal year in which your resignation request is received. You may reapply for membership in the Society.
(2) Non-payment of membership dues for one year
Membership will be forfeited after the last day of the fiscal year if dues remain unpaid.
(3) Declaration of death or disappearance
(5) Expulsion
Any member whose conduct is detrimental to the honor of the Society or contrary to the objectives of the Society will be expelled from the Society by a resolution of the General Meeting of Members.
(4) When a student member graduates, completes a course of study, or withdraws from school, or when any of the other reasons stipulated by law apply.
QI would like to cancel my membership at the end of this fiscal year.

QI am considering joining as a new student member. Please tell me about the procedure.
APlease apply for membership online. A copy of your student ID must be uploaded at the time of application. Referral from a member is also a prerequisite for membership application. Please confirm your referral's membership number, name, and e-mail address with him or her before applying for membership.

QI am currently a regular member, but I am also a graduate student and would like to become a student member in the future. Can I become a student member from a regular member?
AIt is possible to become a student member from a regular member. This is a change in membership classification. However, it is not possible to change membership categories in the middle of a fiscal year. Please confirm the procedure below.
Procedures
A survey form for classification transfer will be sent to regular members usually around December. If you wish to change your classification to student member, please submit the application by the end of January. You will become a student member from the next fiscal year. Please note that you will need to upload your student ID card to complete the survey for those wishing to transfer.

QI was a member before, but I am no longer a member. What procedures do I need to follow if I want to become a member again?

QHow do I pay the membership fee?

Please pay by the due date using the payment slip (available at both Japan Post Bank and convenience stores) that will be mailed from the office of the Japanese Society of Nursing Science. There is no fee for payment.
You can also use automatic account transfer (direct debit) for payment of membership dues.
QI forgot to pay the membership fee and the deadline for payment has passed. What should I do?

Please check the payment status on the Billing Payment Information on Member My Page and pay promptly if you have not yet paid.
Payment can be made at any Japan Post Bank or convenience store even after the payment deadline.
If you have the payment slip for last year's membership fee
Please be sure to contact our office to inform us of your membership loss after one year of non-payment of dues. The procedure differs depending on when you contact us. If you have lost your payment slip, please contact our office.
QWill a membership fee receipt be issued?
A Receipts can be issued by yourself from "Payment History" in the "View Billing Information" section of "Member My Page. You can choose from three address options: "Company," "Individual (name)," or "Company + Individual" from the address field on the right side of the receipt button. Please note that a receipt can only be issued once per fiscal year.
*Please note the date of deposit, as we will not be able to change the date or no description of the deposit date.
*The receipt date for those using the account transfer service is different from the date of withdrawal from the member's account, which is approximately 10 days later. This is based on the date of deposit into the Society's account by the collection agency. Therefore, although we debit the member's account in late May of each year, the receipt date will be in early June of the relevant year.
