Primary health care is a fundamental principle of the global health strategy adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the goal of "health for all". This philosophy recognizes health as a fundamental human right for all people, and it is based on the proactive participation of the population andself-determinationIt is based on the right toareaIt is also a methodology and approach that takes the residents as the main actors, responding to their most important needs and solving problems comprehensively and equitably by the residents themselves.
The five basic principles for the implementation of primary health care are: equity/equality, proactive participation of local communities/people, emphasis on prevention, appropriate technology, and the need for a multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted approach. The eight basic activities of primary health care are: health education and prevention, food supply and Adequate Nutrition," "Safe Water and Sanitation," "Maternal and Child Health including Family Planning," "Immunization against major infectious diseases," "Prevention and control of endemic diseases," "Routinediseasetreatment and injury care" and "supply of essential medicines. In Japan, the "National Health Promotion Movement in the 21st Century (Health Japan 21)" (2000) was established based on this idea.
Based on this, the nursing profession now promotes the health of people,diseaseand other activities to prevent disabilities anddiseasePrimary health care plays an important role in enabling people to live a full life even though they have
