Projects to support acquisition of large-scale research in Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research
Adoption Results and Future Support Activities

The JANS Research and Academic Promotion Committee launched the "Support Project for Obtaining Large-Scale Research in Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research" in November 2022 with the aim of promoting the research activities of members and fostering and supporting young researchers.

The project provides the following support to the adopters according to their wishes.
1) Advice on application preparation by researchers inside and outside the Society who have experience in applying for large research projects
2) Use of application review by consulting firms
3) Support for building a research team, including introduction of researchers to brush up the applicant's research
4) Provide opportunities for information sharing among researchers who apply for large-scale research through this project

Applications are invited from members who are willing to apply for large research grants and wish to receive support from JANS. After review by the Research and Academic Promotion Committee, the following members have been selected so far.

Adopted in FY2023 Dr. Noriyo Corey (Graduate School of Hokkaido University)
Ms. Kyoko Kobayashi (Graduate School of St. Luke's International University)

Adopted in FY2022 Masako Tsuchiya (Musashino University)

Adopted in FY2021 Rie Wusui (University of Tsukuba)

Dr. Wukumizu's research aims to construct a remote care system to support caregivers who provide care to family members, and he is now seeking registrations for supporters who will cooperate in online individual consultations within this system. We are pleased to share this registration information in support of Dr. Waksumi's research activities in this project.

Since the purpose of the "Project for Supporting Acquisition of Large-Scale Research in Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research" is to support those who apply for large research grants, we would like to explain again how we decided to provide support to Mr. Waksumi after he was selected for a large research grant.
Mr. Wukumizu is no longer able to receive support for his application because, after being selected for this project, he was fortunate enough to receive a large research grant that he had already applied for himself. Therefore, after discussions between the Research and Academic Advancement Committee and Mr. Wukumizu, the Committee has decided to support the establishment of a research team and provide opportunities for information sharing among researchers as support activities, even after the project has been adopted.
