Nursing Ethics Review Committee

Committee List

The purpose of this committee is (1) to organize and immediately address ethical issues in research, education, and clinical practice related to nursing science, (2) to work toward improving the morals of researchers, and (3) to collect and provide information on ethical social events related to nursing science and to consider how the Society might respond to such events. The Society has been working to develop guidelines for ethical review systems in nursing research and clinical research in nursing, and to investigate the ethical review systems in the United States. In this fiscal year, following the revision of the "Guidelines for the Management and Audit of Public Research Funds at Research Institutions (Code of Practice)" (February 18, 2014) and the enactment of the "Guidelines for Responses to Misconduct in Research Activities" (August 26, 2014) and the "Ethical Guidelines for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects" (December 22, 2014), we have been working on the development of a guideline on the ethical review system for nursing research and a guideline for clinical research in nursing. (December 22, 2014), we will investigate how researchers are implementing these guidelines in their research activities. Furthermore, we will take immediate action on ethical issues occurring in society, continue to disseminate our views as an academic society to society, and examine how to respond to matters related to the Code of Conduct and Misconduct of Scientists, as well as to raise awareness.
