COVID-19 Committee on Nursing Research and Other Issues
This committee was established with the approval of the Board of Directors to conduct time-limited activities (2 to 3 years) in order to put into practice what can be done under the circumstances of COVID-19, based on Article 2 of the Constitution of the Japanese Society of Nursing Science, which stipulates "to promote the development of nursing science, strive to exchange knowledge widely, and thereby contribute to the health and welfare of people" in a society whose lives have been transformed by the spread of new coronavirus infections. The Board of Directors approved the establishment of this organization to carry out activities on a time-limited basis (2-3 years) in order to put into practice what can be done under the circumstances of COVID-19.
First, we plan to conduct a questionnaire survey of the members of the Japan Academy of Nursing Science regarding their activities during the period of the emergency declaration, while ascertaining the current situation.

Conference-driven research projects (designated project type and open-ended project type) for analysis of acquired survey data and writing of papers
The Japan Academy of Nursing Science (JANS) has recruited research participants to analyze and write a paper on the data obtained from the "Survey on the Impact of New Coronavirus Infections on the Research Activities of Members of the Japan Academy of Nursing Science (JANS) and the Support They Need from the Academy". The data obtained in this survey was not acquired on the assumption that it would be open-sourced, and since this data itself cannot be open-sourced, it will be conducted within the framework of a shared research project. In the first phase, two designated research projects and four open-ended research projects were selected, and in the second phase, four open-ended research projects were selected, and the research group is working to generate new knowledge. This project will be conducted in two phases: the first survey (survey period: July 1 to August 10, 2020) and the second survey (March 1 to March 10, 2022). The project will use data acquired in the first survey (survey period: July 1 to August 10, 2020) and the second survey (March 1 to March 31, 2022). The data obtained from the first survey (survey period: July 1 to August 10, 2020) and the second survey (March 1 to March 31, 2022) will be analyzed based on research objectives from a variety of perspectives. In presenting the results of the analysis by each research group at the conference or submitting an article for publication, sufficient discussion will be held among the members of this committee and the research group as a whole to avoid duplicate or salami publication, as well as to ensure that the results of the analysis are not duplicated, Recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)The Company will take the utmost care to comply with the following
